Cudzoo Farm is an intentionally small homestead located on the Cumberland Plateau, Sewanee, Tennessee. We care for ourselves, our animals, our plants and the land using organic, ecological, and permaculture methods combined with common sense and a dash of modern medicine if (rarely) needed.
The heart of our homestead is the goat barn: home to Nutmeg, Teasel, Arum, Cassia, Anise and Hazel.
Nutmeg (bred by Fox Trot Farm) is a purebred registered French Alpine. Hazel plus Anise, Cassia, Teasel and Arum (all born at Cudzoo) are registered with the MDGA as miniature dairy goats.

The “girls” are hand-milked twice daily and spoiled rotten 24/7. Such pampering leads to refined palettes and capacious rumens (see photo at left). It also results in a year-round supply of the richest and sweetest milk we have ever tasted. We combine this super-rich and barn-fresh milk with organic coconut oil to make our artisan goat milk soaps.

In addition to the girls, our small acreage is home to an overstuffed garden, a gregarious flock of ducks, two terminally busy beehives, several free-spirited rabbits, an overindulgence of cats, and Junebug, a Pyrenees-mix shelter mutt with a big personality.
